Pre 60 Racing Eligible was created by Allen507
No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configurationHi All,
There is currently a Royal Enfield advertised on Ebay - link attached below.
Can anyone tell me if this bike is eligible for Pre60 Racing as is?
I can't say I have seen many Enfields in the class, are they just not quick enough compared with a TRIBSA?
Any advice would be most welcome.
Thanks Allen.

We used to see some Royal Enfilds being raced with the club, but not in recent years. They were never hugely poplar for scrambling even when new, but the Rickman brothers were works RE riders for a time.

The map cannot be displayed, you haven't specified a location yet.
I agree with Dave. AMCA Classic rule 34.5 says that for the Pre-60 class "no Ceriani or Ceriani-type forks are allowed" and to me they look like Ceriani type.We used to see some Royal Enfilds being raced with the club, but not in recent years. They were never hugely poplar for scrambling even when new, but the Rickman brothers were works RE riders for a time.

Hi Allen, I've not seen the Royal Enfield discussed here but I can advise that Richard Aris
campaigned a standard Enfield very successfully for several years both at home and abroad.
In his hands it was a very competitive machine with the added bonus of spares being readily
available due to it still being produced in India. I suspect that in your hands it would be equally
so. For me the attraction of the Pre60 class is the variety of machines that contest it
and long may it continue.
